About me...

My name is Valentina Reyes Espinoza, I am an Ashtanga Yoga teacher and Yoga therapist. I am Chilean and I work with people online from different parts of the world, offering sessions in English and Spanish. I have been teaching yoga for 15 years, during which I have worked with many people, with different ages, sensitivities and needs.

I consider Ashtanga Yoga as the main axis in my practice and teaching. And it is from where I feel that I have deepened the teachings and matured my own practice.

With the people I have worked with, I can see the diversity of bodies, ages, needs and moments in life. And because for some people, an approach to this traditional practice can feel distant, challenging or frightening.

And it’s normal for something like this to happen! All our bodies have very diverse stories, we can see the relationship that each one has had with movement throughout life, and what for some is simple for others will require much longer and more complex work.
It is also important to recognize that we go through a wide variety of vital moments and ailments (Grief, depression, stress, anxiety, etc.) and sometimes we need a sensitive gaze that can accompany us in that reconnection with our body.

This is how I have been training with different Yogatherapy tools to bring the essential principles of Yoga closer to the various moments of life.

Having tools that will help accompany a recovery process on a physical and/or emotional level, depending on the needs of the person consulting. There are asanas (postures) and exercises designed to help deal with chronic pain or injuries in the physical body. Just as there are asanas and movements that can help us deal with the difficult moments we may be experiencing, a trauma-sensitive view makes this space a safe place for everyone who wants to support their therapeutic process.

I invite you to give yourself a space for development and discovery through movement and the practice of Yoga. If you are interested, let’s make a brief call to get to know each other and clarify any doubts! Leave me your information in the contact form or write to me directly here.
